The Fashion Files… Who Will Be My Valentine?

Today’s shoot was freakin’ cold. Even with my fuzzy “Hey Girl” coat shielding me from the wind. There’s something to be said about those of us who brave the beastly cold and frigid winter sun for the love of fashion. And no, we’re not crazy. The love of fashion is something that’s hard to describe. Yet my dedication to the readers who visit Live Well… Be Fabulous each week to read my latest fashionable adventure prevailed, even though my fingers were turning white from the cold.

The star of this photo shoot is what I call my “Hey Girl” coat. You know the one I’m talking about. The outerwear that so many fashion bloggers are rocking, ranging in textures from sleek snakeskin leather to furry faux shells.

I’ve been looking for a fuzzy coat all season. However, I wasn’t entirely certain I’d be able to wear it this year. North Carolina has had some of the most unstable weather I’ve ever experienced this year. Snow one day (aka today) and 60 degree temps the next (aka tomorrow). Fortunately, I was able to get out and sneak in a photo shoot in between my Valentine’s Day festivities. Or maybe I should be saying Galentine’s Day since that’s the proper term for a day of love that was spent with your gals or guy friends.

 

NevertThe-Fashion-Files-Who-Will-Be-My-Valetine-Five-LiWBFheless, it was still a fab weekend. I also found the perfect pair of Geek Chic eyeglasses by Ray Bans. LensCrafters (the Fashion House of Eyewear) was having a great sale and I got lucky and found the glasses I’d been stalking along with a few other goodies. Don’t I look super smart in that photo? LoL

Preparing for the Valentine’s Day holiday got me back in the mood for love which means great stimulation for my creative muse. I jumped back into reading as well as writing and even flirted with my sewing machine a little bit. I’m thinking that any day now I’ll actually use the sewing machine versus walking by it and sighing because I’m so intimidated. LOL
