The Fashion Files Featuring The Dress By MakeMeChic

**Welcome back to the Fashion Files, Live Well…Be Fabulous’s review of up and coming noteworthy fashion boutiques and companies. We brought this series back by popular demand. Several great brands have agreed to collaborate with us. We promise to only introduce the best possible prospects so you don’t have to worry about screening them yourself. This first post was written as part of a collaboration between Live Well. Be Fabulous and MakeMeChic.com but the opinions and reviews of the chosen product are my own. Enjoy!**

I call it the dress. I’m pretty sure you’ve seen this one shoulder maxi before. Anytime I visit the blog of one of my fashionista friends, I usually see this dress being advertised by either MakeMeChic or their sister company Shein. This maxi will soon become my goto dress, I’m sure. The batwing style makes the silhouette super unique. And the fabric is great quality. You don’t have to worry about this material snagging and making a hole or two or three by the end of the day.

Let me start by quoting MakeMeChic’s mission statement taken from their website:

“Make Me Chic was created with the vision of providing women everywhere with the latest styles at the most competitive prices with exceptional customer service. We are an internet fashion retailer based out of Pomona in sunny southern California. We first gained popularity through our unique and fashion forward footwear selection, which rapidly increased our product line to include apparel, accessories, handbags, and swimwear due to high customer demands. Our professional customer service ensures a pleasant shopping experience to all of our valued customers. Our streamline warehouse operation and detailed inspection process achieve 100% customer service satisfaction.”

Also, you get free shipping on all your orders over $39 and a 60 Day refund guarantee. I’ve already ordered more items and will be showcasing some of those in LiWBF’s Outfit of the Day segments.

I’ve eyeballed this dress for almost a year. So when I was approached by MakeMeChic to take part in this collaboration, I was more than happy to lend my fashionable eyes and time. I’ve been a regular customer of Shein for years, and now, I’m happy to say I’ve found another super affordable, yet good quality clothing company to introduce to my readers. And we all know how hard it is to find those two elements in the same round.

Shop the Look:

  1. Rag & Bone Jean Jacket $395
  2. Rag & Bone Jean Jeacket $205
  3. Rialt Milly Block Heel Lace Up Sandals $55
  4. Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme in Obsession $7.99
  5. One Shoulder Maxi Dress $22.50

The dress can be worn either by itself or with a jean jacket as I’ve done in this photo. Add your favorite statement necklace and a great pair of neutral colored sandals to make the most of this almost all black outfit. The elastic allows you to expose either one or both shoulders, a trend that’s still going strong in 2017. I’ve included links to similar items to the ones I’m wearing so you can create your own superstar maxi look.

Overall, I’m excited about MakeMeChic and hope you found this review helpful. Sound off in the comments below and let us know what you think!
