OOTD All Striped Up About Things

This week’s #OOTD features this gorgeous striped peplum blouse by Make Me Chic and let me just tell you… I love it! The casual style goes well with my Express jeans and red hair. I could easily have chosen to dress it up as well. This shirt would also look super cute with a pair of black leggings or hang-with-friends ready if I were to choose a bodycon skirt.

The fit is snug without being too tight and the fabric is good quality. However, you might want to go a size up if you prefer a Boho-chic fit over a JLO-tight one.

For this outfit, I chose to wear a pair of Express jeans that have white trim, a clever but subtle way to bring symmetry to your outfit. You can also wear this shirt without the tie.

Now, I’m not a big fan of emphasizing my high waistline (short torso probs) but I simply loosened the tie and created a relaxed fit to emphasize the style which resulted in a flattering silhouette for me (mini me torso probs be gone). Cuz everybody has quirks and flaws, right? 😉

I went with my fave Alessandro necklace but could easily have gone jewelry-less while wearing this shirt. The shoes are a pair of semi-vintage lovelies I bought over 15 years ago. The striped design of the shoe picks up on the design of the shirt. Stripes have been in style for a while now, and it’s always great to find a beautiful piece of clothing such as this blouse by MakeMeChic to bring a little glam into your life.
