Crush Craves Party Dress Ideas and New Year’s Survival Kit

Can you believe 2017 is gone? I can remember posting articles about Christmas only a few days ago. Or so it seems, anyway. Now comes the time for what I call regrouping and doubling up on that energy we’re going to need as we head into the first few months of 2018.

I don’t know about you, but I have a great bottle of German vintage red wine ready to go tonight. Are you feeling a little less ready for the party? Or maybe you’re just trying to decide what in the world you should wear to that party tonight? No worries. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner (yeah, I actually went there) I’m thinking this guide will not only help with last-minute outfit decision for New Year’s Eve, but it will also hold some pretty fab ideas about what to wear for that elusive Valentine’s Day gig or any other social gathering.

Most folks fall into two categories: a) you either have a ton of holiday parties to attend or b) you have more New Year’s at-home party invites than you can handle. I fall somewhere between the two. However, it’s always a pleasure for me to help my readers with finding the perfect holiday groove… Aka the perfect New Year’s outfit.

For the holiday party I attended this past December, I chose a blush pink, velvet wrap dress that was super awesome. I received tons of compliments and will wear it again many times, I’m sure. So for this segment of Crush Craves, I’ve compiled a list of similar dresses that you can choose from or simply be inspired by. Since Live Well Be Fabulous consists of an audience that falls between 22 and 55 years of age, no that isn’t a typo, then I usually try and make sure I pick items for all shapes, figures, and budgets.

Heading into 2018, both the velvet and wrap dress trends are still going strong. Tunics can be paired with leggings. Both items work well for all types of gatherings and can be dressed up or down depending on the material you choose. I’m excited to bring this group of ideas to you. Doing so gave me a chance to get back on Polyvore, one of my favorite fashion design and shopping sites. And guess what? My lovely followers were still patiently waiting while I’d been pursuing other endeavors such as publishing my latest novels.

As we say goodbye to 2017, I’d like to say thank you for the 4 years of support you’ve given us here at Live Well Be Fabulous. We’ve grown in the most amazing ways thanks to all of your suggestions and comments you have given us throughout the years. I’m super excited to share our next adventures with you in the upcoming months.

Wishing you all the best in 2018!
