This week was like the goldmine of fashion deals for me.

I couldn’t wait for Fashion Friday to come around so I could share my ventures with you. The sales I found in my favorite stores were rocking! This is the time of year when I usually go hunting through the clearance racks, oftentimes finding steals and deals I can enjoy well into the next year. And the prices! Wowza! How about I found a $68 skirt by American Rag for only $6.98! Is that a deal, or what?

There’s only one thing about shopping in what I call the Haute Couture style thrift store bargains. You have to venture out to these spots in person. Most of the time, the online deals sell out. Or someone will return a great piece of clothing, leaving the gem for you to discover as you comb through the racks. For example, I found a $300 pea coat hanging on the Express’s clearance rack that one of the employees had put back out on the sales floor. Someone had just returned it and yours truly was the lucky woman who saw it first.

If you head down to your local Urban Outfitters this weekend, you’ll find several of these over-sized sweaters on the clearance racks at a fraction of the price I paid for this one.
