The Fashion Files… Milan Fashion Week Groupie

I can already tell that black is back for me this fall & winter. Each time I find a great deal on something black, I take it home. LoL Don’t get me wrong. I love orange and all the cool ways you can blend various shades of it into your home design. However, orange is not the new black. At least, it’s not for me. The television show is great, though. I took the inspiration for this week’s Lookbook outfit from the great love I have for two things: Fashion and Italy. More specifically, I chose an outfit that was inspired by the looks of the 2015 Milan Fashion Week runway.
We spent the day at one of my new favorite weekend hangouts… the Streets at Southpoint Mall in a beautiful section of Durham, NC. My choice of the dress featured in the following photos was inspired by the decor of Maggiano’s, one of my favorite Italian restaurants. The building reminds me of a castle in Italy. And all the black decorum makes me think of the Milan fashion scene… sexy, cool and hip.
The hi-lo dress I’m wearing in this week’s outfit was a steal I found at Forever 21 for less than 25 bucks! To give it a bit of pizzazz, I added a vintage necklace from Express. The shoes were a thrifty deal/frugal steal I found at Shoe Show for less than 7 bucks! And the handbag is a beauty created by the super talented Jessica Simpson. I cannot tell you how much I love this purse? This outfit is super comfy and can work for any figure at any age!
On to the outfit pics!
