A Fashion Story Bohemia Bound
It’s official! The new Bohemian trend has taken over. I mean, it was bound to happen, right? What girl/lady/woman doesn’t love flowers and dreamy soft fabric? Who doesn’t like to walk among the sunflowers and feel the wind blowing around you, lifting your dress in the breeze and making you feel like a piece of walking art? (Beware of Marilyn Monroe syndrome, though, unless you’re totally prepared for that … Lol).
We all do. This ultra-feminine move that involves loose dresses, pants and sometimes blouses creates the perfect look for any body type, ethnicity, or age group. So while the Bohemian look still rules the fashion bull, I’m going to hop aboard the train and fully enjoy the ride.
Which brings me to this week’s Fashion Story post. I’ve called this one Bohemia Bound because I’ve fully embraced my inner flower child. Yes, some of my friends have suggested therapy (just kidding) because, well, I am the girl who claims black as her happy color. Back in the day, I rarely wore floral prints but I’ve always loved patterned designs.
Shop the Look!
- Scoop Neck Bell Sleeve Vintage Print Shift Dress Shein.com $18.00
- Silver Plated Long Cross Necklace for Women Shein.com $4.91
- Black Slim Elastic Leggings Shein.com $9.99
- Distinctly Arts District Bag $59.99 Modcloth.com (This is a super fab alternative to my vintage Mark handbag!)
What I love about this look is that florals don’t dominate the style. Which means I can mix the best parts of both the worlds I love so much. Translation… I can wear black boots and stockings, but keep it feminine in the pattern of the dress.
This dress/tunic/however you choose to view it from Shein.com has been on my wishlist for a while. Wearing this dress made me feel as though I’d stepped into a powerful, yet feminine version of my comfort zone… any and everything that has the color black as part of the outfit.
I’m wearing my favorite boots from CA and the purse is a vintage Avon goodie from the Mark Collection. I’ve had it for over ten years now and the shell still looks great. All in all this was a great day for a good meal from one of our favorite guilty pleasure spots… Five Guys. And the outfit made it easy to enjoy the sun while protecting my legs from the harsh wind that was blowing on this sunny spring day.
So tell me. Have you been bitten by the Bohemia bug yet?

Oh wow, this dress looks just so lovely on you, and I adore the boots! Like yourself, I’d say that black is definietly my happy colour, haha, although I don’t mind a little floral print here and there, especially in spring and summer. 🙂 I love the bohemian style, there’s something about it that’s just so feminine and carefree, but it’s also very easy to wear. Loving your fashion story, as always, hun! Kisses. x
