The Traveler’s Gift Guide My Top 21 Items to Carry When Traveling
Among many other ventures I’m tackling in 2017 comes a very special adventure. I’ve made the decision to get my TEFL certification. TEFL stands for teaching English as a foreign language. Now this won’t be an overnight process or something I’ll complete within six months or any set time frame. However, I’ve waded back and forth between the decision to stay and the decision to go for some time now. I’ve written several novels with story lines that take place in Italy. The books went over so well with readers that most people thought I’d recently traveled to these places.
In the meantime, I’ll keep taking day and weekend trips and documenting more of these adventures for you to share along with me. I don’t know about you, but I always feel as though taking a trip creates a magical feeling. There’s just something uninhibited about taking to the road and driving until your heart’s content. Or on the other end of the travel spectrum, there’s nothing like boarding a plane headed to a place you’ve never been. Especially when said destination involves magically historical destinations such as Venice or Greece or Egypt… Morrocco, Romania… the list could go on forever.
This article won’t get into the details of international travel. We’re going to save that tidbit for another one of our remote Mediterranean Muse writers. Instead, I’m going to share with you some of the survival goodies that help me keep my sanity in check when I travel. Whether it’s a road trip or an international excursion, I hope this list of things I’ve learned to carry along with me will help you be successful as you begin a beguine.
