Fab Beauty Snaps Yummy Do It Yourself Lip Exfoliator

With liquid lipsticks taking over the beauty scene there comes a new problem among beauty enthusiasts. Dry, cracked lips. I’ve experienced this issue myself along with many of my girlfriends. Dry lips make touch-ups difficult. In turn, liquid lipstick removal becomes a super tedious process. And with Valentine’s Day sitting around the corner, we want to make sure our pouts look and feel kissable. The best way to tackle this problem? A DIY lip exfoliator, of course!

I’ve read many articles that talk about natural lip scrubs. The idea intrigued me, so I set out to do some research and experiments. And since one of the items you told me you most wanted to see in 2017 included easy-peasy recipes then I felt this was a good place to start.

I found a similar recipe on Kourtney Kardashian’s website and decided to try it for myself. However, the extreme creative recipe maker in me modified the ingredients a bit to fit my taste and style.

 

 

Let’s Get Started:

Ingredients:

1 tbsp. Honey
2.5 tbsp. Brown Sugar
1 tbsp. Olive Oil

The steps to this recipe are super simple, so I’ve included a few extra goodies to help you make the most out of your lip scrub.




1. Mix all the ingredients. Trust me. There’s no right or wrong way to do tackle step one. You cannot screw this step up, so let the inner kid out and get messy!

2. Apply the lip scrub. Massage your lips using a circular motion. I’ve included a video to help show the best way to get the most out of your lip scrub. This super fab formula removes both liquid lipstick residue and dead skin. Try not to eat too much of the mixture. LoL Leave the mixture on your lips for 3-7 minutes to achieve the best results.

3. Gently wipe your lips. Use a warm washcloth to remove the leftover paste. You can use this lip scrub both morning and night or anytime you feel as though your pout needs a pick me up.
