There aren’t very many brands that manage to attract the attention of Live Well Be Fabulous’s wide range of readers without alienating at least one demographic in between the ages of 22-58. However, the ones we choose to feature and collaborate with are brands that we truly believe in and use ourselves.

That’s why when we landed a chance to collaborate with Ann Taylor, we immediately knew this was a no-brainer, win-win for both Ann Taylor and our readers.

We chose to feature Ann Taylor in our Ageless Fashionistas series because, well, that’s the spirit the brand most embodies. When I walked into our local Ann Taylor store at Southpoint Mall in Durham, NC, I was struck by the beauty of the interior and the organization of the clothing racks. The staff and stylists were super friendly and made my shopping experience all that much better.

If I had to sum up what makes Ann Taylor so intriguing then I would have to say it lies in the way the line demonstrates Classic elegance without venturing into the dowdy arena. This doesn’t happen with Ann Taylor. In fact, as I prepare to enter my last couple years of the fabulous ’40s, I’ll do so with the confidence embodied by this age group as I explore more styles to fit this new version of me from Ann Taylor’s line.

If you want clothing that’s high quality, well-tailored and most important items that will last for years then this brand won’t disappoint you.

In this post, we’ll be showing ways to look stylish while keeping cozy and warm this winter. And boy, do we have a collection of wonderfully cozy winter pieces that are guaranteed to impress both your friends and social media tribe.

In today’s post, we’re showcasing a few of our favorite new warm and stylish winter clothes from the Ann Taylor brand. When walking into Southpoint Mall’s Ann Taylor store, I instantly knew I’d enjoy a unique experience. The well-designed layout gives you plenty of room to explore the vast clothing collections without getting overwhelmed. Each section of the store provided a theme, something I loved. The layout made it easy to find what I needed to wear.

Now let’s talk about clothes.

This poncho sweater though. What can I say about these two gorgeous items? Not nearly enough for one blog post (which is why we have several more planned). If you lean towards the Bohemian style of dressing then you should now rest assured that Ann Taylor has your artsy and stylish back.

When considering ways to look stylish and warm, you won’t ever go wrong with a poncho sweater. Pair it with your favorite turtleneck or sweater and a great pair of jeggings and you’re all set.

Let’s also talk about this hat though! I fell in love with the design at once. Winter accessories don’t get any more stylish than this warm little cutie. Those are genuine rhinestones embedded in the toboggan. Genius, right? What about our hands? No worries. There’s a matching pair of gloves to go with the hat. Make sure you watch the video to see them.

What about work to party items? Are there any sweaters that pull that task off without looking gaudy? Glad you asked those questions. Ann Taylor Southpoint employs stylists who assist you with finding the perfect item for your needs. In my case, this meant helping me break out of the tendency to lean towards all black everything. Take a look at this butterfly sweater.

At first, I attempted to pair it with black jeggings. Um, no. My Ann Taylor Southpoint stylist found the perfect pair of velvet jeggings to both satisfy my need for dark clothing while helping me step out of the comfort zone.

Let’s recap. Here are seven easy ways to stay warm and look stylish during winter:

    1. Invest in a poncho sweater. What’s even better than one poncho sweater? Two of these beauties. As demonstrated in the previous photos, the poncho creates an extremely versatile piece of clothing. Wear your poncho on adventures both local and international. Or choose to lounge around the house in one and catch up on all the latest episodes of How To Get Away With Murder.
    2. Invest in fleeced lined leggings. Keep in mind that the floral-printed legwear that was all the rage over the past few years has mellowed out. Instead, opt for plaids and textured goodies which leads us into the next tip.
    3. Velvet Skinny Jeans. The latest rage in jeggings is here to stay, I do believe. Velvet stormed onto runways around the world a few years ago and made its way through all types of outfit staples.
    4. A Stylish Blazer. The sky is truly the limit with these lovely babies. I now own five and they never go out of style. The blazer makes one of the easiest items to transition from work to the Friday night party later that night. This new staple ranges from casual jersey material to dressy and everything in-between.
    5. High-Quality Sweaters. You want to venture outside on a snowy day wearing just any old thin piece of cotton masquerading as a sweater. I prefer to be warm. Being cold makes my bones hurt. LoL.
    6. Ankle Boots. The riding boot still holds a place in my heart. Especially on 10″ snow days like the one that we experienced this week. However, the fashion forecaster predicted a while back that the ankle boot was fast on the rise. Guess what? They were right. And these little cuties even come in that addictive leopard print that stole the scene last year.
    7. A Gorgeous Hat & Glove Set. Need we say anymore? Just take a look at this photo for the proof.

Throughout the month of December, Live well be fabulous plans to showcase ways to shine at the holiday party with statement dresses you just gotta see along with last minute gift ideas that won’t break the budget.

Stay tuned!
