Can you believe 2019 is winding down so quickly? Remember bringing the New Year in while hanging out with my family and friends. It seems like that happened just yesterday. Did it happen that soon? Seems like it to me. At any rate, I’ve looked back on this year and decided that this was the year of practice. Or perhaps it could be considered the year of mourning as we enter the last few weeks of the decade.
A couple of days ago, I crafted an email to my subscribers. In that correspondence, I told them to take some time to reflect back over the past 10 years of their lives and to write down the results. Well, I’ll tell you what. I did this same exercise and was blown away by all that I had achieved over the last 10 years. I published my first novel in 2011. I received my MFA in creative writing in 2010. Live Well Be Fabulous was born in 2014. Mystikaly and Kitty Cat Soap Box roared onto the scene in 2016 and 2017. The Prelude became a Wall Street Journal best-selling novel in 2013. And KaSonndra Leigh Designs was born in 2019. What a way to end the decade right?
While there were also several heart-wrenching losses during this past decade, I also triumphed and I made up my mind to keep on doing things every day that would improve my life. I want to take this moment to say thank you all for the support that you have given every single one of my ventures. There are some of you who visit my blogs on a regular basis and have done so since the day I published my first novel.
